Director's notes
In regards to the story, I created a narrative that was on a surface level very easy to interpret and had a simple literal interpretation; but for it to be rich in visual metaphor and connotation. The meaning of the film is breadcrumbed throughout, but not spelled out so that the viewer can take their own meaning or message away from the film. I don’t want to write out how it’s intended to be interpreted, as I want people to see the film through their own knowledge of death, loss, loneliness, and love. At its heart it’s a story of magical realism, that’s as personal to me as possible, whilst remaining in a fantasy world of its own.
