Monday afternoon, everything is drowning in rain and melancholy. The woman in a red coat doesn’t seem to fit in with the world around her. While riding on a bus stuck in a traffic jam, she dreams of escaping the routine rhythm of the city.

My name is Katarzyna Orłowska and I study animation at University of the Arts Poznan. My journey with animation started in 2019.

Director's notes
Blue Monday is one of the first projects I did in college. It was made with oil paints on a ceramic tile. By creating this film, I wanted to explore the feeling of being lost in the modern world.
