Biography
Joel Munu (b. 1990) is a filmmaker and co-founder of Octubre Cinema. He has directed short films such as El dol and Partículas sin masa, with over 50 international selections and awards, including the Open ECAM Award for Best Direction. His latest project, Irrelevante, won Best Film at Notodofilmfest 2024. With Octubre Cinema, he also created El hombre que mató a Terry Gilliam, supported by AC/E Cultura and Platino Crowdfunding, and selected at major international festivals including Moscow and Bogoshorts.
