Biography
Cat Mangan Williams (b. 1991) is an award-winning director with over 10 years of experience in studio production. Her debut short film Brón won Best Animation at the Barcelona Indie Awards and was selected for the Academy-qualifying Professional Selection at Animation Dingle 2026.
Director's notes
Born from the dread of lockdown, Brón explores the silent battle with depression. It follows one man’s impulsive search for a reason to stay. I wanted to capture the specific anger and isolation that often makes young men lose hope.
