"Au cœur du son" is a journey of initiation, an artistic wandering, a kind of daydream that Marie and Lucas try to embody with visual codes, like in Murnau's Nosferatu, where without a word, the extreme attraction of the two protagonists is felt in the smallest of our cells, right up to the tragic fate that awaits them.
“Au cœur du son” è un viaggio iniziatico, un vagabondaggio artistico, una sorta di sogno ad occhi aperti che Marie e Lucas cercano di incarnare attraverso codici visivi, come nel “Nosferatu” di Murnau, dove, senza bisogno di parole, l'estrema attrazione tra i due protagonisti si percepisce fin nel profondo delle nostre cellule, fino al tragico destino che li attende.

Biography
Lucas Malbrun (b. 1988) is a filmmaker and ENSAD Paris graduate known for his experimental approach combining animation and video art. His graduation film Quand le fleuve se tait won the Short Film Award at Toronto Film Week 2016. With Marie Larrivé, he has created music videos and multimedia exhibitions. His short film Margarethe 89 was selected for the Directors’ Fortnight at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. His upcoming film L’Empereur au balcon benefited from a residency at Villa Medici.

Biography
Marie Larrivé (b. 1988) is a painter and filmmaker. A graduate of ENSAD Paris, she explores stop-motion, traditional animation, and painting. In 2017, she won the Audience Award at the Sciences Po Prize for Contemporary Art. Her project Noir-Soleil was developed through several artistic residencies. She regularly exhibits her work and collaborates with musicians and magazines on music videos and illustrations.
