Biography
Kai Welf Hoyme was born 1979 in Moenchengladbach, Germany.
He lives and works as an artist and filmmaker in Moenchengladbach.
He holds a MA from RUB and a MFA from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM).
Since 2003 he exhibited his films and artworks including Images Festival Toronto, European Media Art Festival Osnabrueck; Cabin Fever, Anchorage Museum; Shortfilm Festival Oberhausen, Durban Intl. Film festival, Japan Video Dance Festival Tokyo, File Festival Sao Paulo, North Dakota Museum of Art; Time is Love video art program, ZKM Karlsruhe.
Director's notes
My multidisciplinary artistic work circle the field and the relation of personal and collective imagination, memory, language, bodies and spaces / places and have taken the form of experimental shortfilms and videos, performances, sound and audio art, multimedia-installations, photography and scenography.
